About the Role:
As a Chemical Cleaning Operations Specialist at GFL Environmental, you will play a vital role in supporting on-site chemical cleaning projects. This position requires working as part of a crew and interacting with clients on-site.

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure Health and Safety is prioritized by following policies and procedures, conducting job walks, preparing tenders and proposals, estimating costs, and planning shutdowns.
- Provide logistical support and plan personnel, equipment, and materials for each project.
- Set up and install equipment required for each project and supervise Chemical Cleaning personnel.
- Operate equipment and supervise team members on each project.
- Troubleshoot issues during projects and complete post-job reports as needed.
- Perform equipment maintenance after each project and undertake extensive travel within Canada for projects and turnarounds at client sites.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Chemical or Mechanical) from an accredited university;
- Previous industrial chemical cleaning experience is beneficial;
- Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication skills;
- Ability to build and maintain relationships in a dynamic environment;
- Demonstrated leadership approach;
- High degree of resourcefulness, flexibility, and adaptability;
- Strong commitment to health and safety in the workplace;
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels within the organization;
- Skilled negotiator and mediator;
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently;
- Proven ability to make sound decisions under pressure, on budget, and within deadlines;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Ability to coach, manage performance, lead, motivate, and achieve outcomes;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite;

Salary:
The estimated annual salary range for this position is $65,000-$85,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
