Job Summary

The Security Team Lead is a critical role within Paladin Security, responsible for overseeing the activities and job performance of Security Guards assigned to various healthcare facilities. This position requires a strong leader who can represent Paladin Security and the facility they are assigned to, ensuring a safe and secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, direction, and ongoing coaching and training to Security Guards
  • Ensure all standing orders and scheduled daily activities are carried out as required for each shift
  • Ensure site staff adhere to all Paladin Security and site security policies and procedures
  • Plan and implement shift work schedules
  • Ensure all Security Guards have received the mandatory training
  • Motivate staff and issue commendations
  • Discipline staff when necessary and ensure proper documentation is passed onto head office
  • Attend to attendance management
  • Perform security audits
  • Document and investigate security incidents and complaints
  • Provide proactive and reactive security patrols
  • Communicate any concerns/issues with Client Service Manager

Requirements

  • Immunization Record for Covid-19, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and 2-Step TB Skin Test
  • A Valid Ontario Security Guard License and First Aid & CPR – Level C
  • At least two years' of security experience in healthcare would be preferred; experience in mental health is also an asset
  • Post Secondary education in a law enforcement/security program from a recognized college would be an asset
  • Working knowledge of the Trespass to Property Act and Mental Health Act
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated punctuality and reliability, tact and diplomacy
  • Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB)
