Financial Services Consultant- Insurance Rollover

As a licensed Financial Services Consultant- Insurance Rollover, you will support Sun Life clients with their insurance needs by speaking with clients over the phone/video and providing recommendations that meet their needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive inbound calls and transferred sales leads from Sun Life's Group Benefits members who are leaving their employer benefit plan and want to convert their health and dental, life insurance, and/or critical illness benefits to an individual plan.
  • Provide consultation to members by reviewing their options and recommending solutions that are aligned to their needs and help them through a period of transition.
  • Contribute to sales targets by meeting or exceeding objectives.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of related sales experience in the financial services industry is preferred.
  • Bilingualism (French, English, both oral and written) is required to answer calls from English and French-speaking clients across Canada and worldwide.
  • Experience selling insurance products over the phone is an asset.
  • Completion of a college or university degree or equivalent related experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to quickly build rapport and relationships with clients over the phone/video conferencing.
  • Effective listening skills and the ability to ask probing questions to understand needs.
  • Self-motivated and have the ability to work independently.

Mandatory Requirement:

  • Valid and active Life Insurance License (LLQP) or Insurance of person license in Quebec (1a).

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance. Certain sales-focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
