OCAD University invites applications for a Sessional Instructor position in the Faculty of Arts & Science. The successful candidate will teach and develop course materials for the course SOSC-2005: Culture and Communication (0.5 credit).
Responsibilities:
Teach and deliver lectures, critiques, and grading for the course
Develop and maintain course outlines, syllabi, and assessments
Foster a respectful and inclusive learning environment for students
Qualifications:
Terminal degree in art, design, or relevant discipline
Experience teaching at the post-secondary level
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Demonstrated leadership and experience promoting a respectful and inclusive work and learning environment
Terms of Employment:
Sessional appointments are fixed-term annual contracts. Sessional compensation includes a per-course pay scale with salary level of $6,871.00 (per 0.5 credit course) plus 7% in lieu of benefits and vacation pay, per the provisions of the Employment Standards Act. These positions are subject to budgetary approval and satisfactory enrolment levels.
