OCAD University is seeking a qualified Sessional Instructor to teach Human and Comparative Anatomy in the Faculty of Arts.
Course Description:This course explores the fascinating world of human and comparative anatomy, examining the intricate relationships between different life forms and the adaptations that have enabled them to thrive. Through lectures, labs, and drawing analyses, students will gain a deeper understanding of the complex structures and systems that underlie human and animal anatomy.
Responsibilities:- Develop and deliver course materials, including lectures, critiques, and grading
- Prepare and deliver studio sessions, including health and safety protocols
- Meet academic and curricular requirements and deadlines
- Terminal degree in art, design, or relevant discipline
- Experience teaching at the post-secondary level (equivalent experience considered)
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated leadership and experience promoting a respectful and inclusive work and learning environment
Sessional appointments are fixed-term annual contracts. Compensation includes a per-course pay scale with salary level of $6,871.00 (per 0.5 credit course) plus 7% in lieu of benefits and vacation pay, per the provisions of the Employment Standards Act.
