Food Service Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Food Service Supervisor to join our team at SAKURA SUSHI COBOURG. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our food service department.
Key Responsibilities:- Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain a well-stocked inventory.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring a high level of quality and efficiency.
- Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
- Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation, minimizing waste and ensuring adequate stock levels.
- Monitor and maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform inventory management decisions.
- Prepare and submit reports to management, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with the chef to prepare food order summaries and ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
- Maintain knowledge of the establishment's culinary genres and stay up-to-date with industry trends.
- Establish work schedules and ensure that staff are adequately trained and prepared for their roles.
- Client focus and excellent interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with staff and customers.
