Job Description
We are currently seeking a motivated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Mills Memorial Hospital. As an LPN with Northern Health, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care to patients on the Medical/Surgical Unit, as well as assisting with assessment, clerical duties, and other related tasks under the supervision of a registered nurse. Our ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to patients on the Medical/Surgical Unit
- Assist with assessment, clerical duties, and other related tasks under the supervision of a registered nurse
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, applicants must possess:
- A valid LPN registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives
- Current BLS certification
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position
- Ability to deal effectively with others
