{"Work Opportunities": "At 1087937 B.C. LTD, we are seeking a skilled Drywall Installer and Finisher to join our team.

Responsibilities:

* Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints
* Fill joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound using trowel and broad knife
* Measure, cut, fit and install drywall sheets
* Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists
* Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry
* Tape over joints using taping machine and embed tape in compound
* Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages
* Erect and install scaffolding, falsework and other working platforms
* Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications

Work Environment:

* At heights
* Dusty
* Noisy

Work Setting:

* Residential
* Various locations

Physical Demands:

* Bending, crouching, kneeling
* Hand-eye co-ordination
* Handling heavy loads
* Manual dexterity
* Physically demanding
* Repetitive tasks

Weight Handling:

* Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Support for Newcomers and Refugees:

* Assists with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and/or refugees
* Supports social and labour market integration of newcomers and/or refugees
* Recruits newcomers and/or refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster
* Supports newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition
* Offers mentorship programs that pair newcomers and/or refugees with experienced employees

Support for Youths:

* Offers on-the-job training tailored to youth
* Offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for youth
* Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth

Support for Veterans:

* Recruits Veterans and other candidates with military experience through targeted hiring initiatives

Support for Indigenous People:

* Develops and maintains relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses and organizations
* Provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers
