SANDHER TRUCK AND TRAILER REPAIR is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and inspecting equipment to detect faults and malfunctions. You will diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine the extent of repair required. Your duties will include adjusting equipment and repairing or replacing defective parts, testing repaired equipment for proper performance, and ensuring that work meets manufacturers' specifications. You will also be responsible for cleaning, lubricating, and performing other maintenance work. Additionally, you will perform repair work on heavy trucks. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, be physically demanding, and have excellent hand-eye coordination. You will be required to stand for extended periods and lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs). The working hours will be 30 to 40 hours per week, and the language of work will be English.
