The Maintenance Equipment Specialist will operate and monitor computerized building control systems, maintaining facility and plant systems and equipment. This position involves independently performing major repairs and installations on complex building systems and equipment.

Salary: $27.99 - $30.00 per hour (Pay Band 13)

About the Role:

This is a critical role in our Plant Maintenance Department, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities. As a Maintenance Equipment Specialist, you will be working with various systems and equipment, troubleshooting and repairing issues to maintain efficiency and productivity.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor computerized building control systems
  • Maintain facility and plant systems and equipment
  • Independently perform major repairs and installations on complex building systems and equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair issues to maintain efficiency and productivity

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Building Systems Technician certificate
  • A valid Class 5 driver's license
  • A Power Engineering License pursuant to the Boiler & Pressure Vessels Safety Act
  • Refrigeration Plant Operator and Refrigeration Engineer certificates (where required by the job)
  • Pool Operator and 5th Class Engineering certificates (as required by the job)
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and computer skills

Working Conditions:

This role requires working independently and as part of a team. You will be working in a fast-paced environment, with regular exposure to mechanical equipment and tools.
