Excellent Opportunity for a Heavy Equipment Maintenance Specialist

In this challenging role, you will have the opportunity to work with complex equipment and provide exceptional customer service. As a Field Diesel Mechanic at United Rentals, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on rental equipment in a safe and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance and repair of complex rental equipment involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems
  • Travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance of rental or customer-owned equipment; maintaining service vehicle in a clean and professional manner
  • Assist in the training of lower-level technicians as needed
  • Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) in a complete and timely manner on a daily basis
  • Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts
  • Other duties assigned as needed

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
  • 3-5 years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment and tools
  • Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools
  • Strong mechanical background knowledge of various engines
  • Must own tools applicable to position
  • Superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal/written communication skills
  • Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.

This is a safety-sensitive position within our organization.

About the Salary:

The estimated annual salary for this position is around $65,000 - $80,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
