Job Summary

We are seeking an Asphalt Plant Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will assist in the maintenance of our asphalt plant, performing routine maintenance tasks, conducting equipment inspections, and operating a loader when required. You will also be trained to back up the Asphalt Plant Operator, having a full understanding of the operation.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on the asphalt plant, including lubrication and repairs
  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly equipment inspections and maintenance logs
  • Operate a loader to feed the plant when required
  • Assist the Asphalt Plant Operator in the operation of the plant
  • Communicate effectively with other team members and managers

Requirements

  • Welding and mechanical skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • Ability to lift 50lbs
  • Front End Loader experience (Cat 980 or equivalent)
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to work at heights, when required
