Job Summary

We're seeking an Asphalt Plant Assistant to join our team in Owen Sound. As a key member of our operations team, you will assist in the maintenance and operation of our asphalt plant, ensuring that we deliver high-quality products to our customers.

You will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, conducting equipment inspections, and operating a loader to feed the plant. You will also work closely with our Asphalt Plant Operator to ensure seamless operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on the asphalt plant, including lubrication and repairs
  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly equipment inspections and maintenance logs
  • Operate a loader to feed the plant, as required
  • Assist the Asphalt Plant Operator in ensuring seamless operations
  • Work collaboratively with the operations team to achieve our goals
Requirements
  • Welding and mechanical skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • Ability to lift 50lbs
  • Front End Loader experience (Cat 980 or equivalent)
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to work at heights, when required
