About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team at ProMach. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing and specifying the electrical systems on our projects and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create comprehensive electrical design packages, including bills of materials, schematics, assembly drawings, and layouts.
  • Verify and validate final design documentation, parts lists, and drawings to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Review and interpret customer and vendor drawings and specifications.
  • Design or coordinate the design of motor control centers, power distribution panels, and overall power distribution systems.
  • Develop and prepare contractor and scope of work instructions.
  • Design electrical layouts and create detailed drawings and schematics.
  • Interpret technical specifications and application parameters.
  • Develop and write PLC and HMI code.
  • Conceptualize new designs and select cost-effective OEM components.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience in electrical engineering and controls engineering.
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience with production line design and working with end users in a consulting capacity.
  • Experience with low-voltage power distribution and electrical panel designs (600V).
  • Experience with communications network design.
  • Strong AutoCAD skills.
  • Strong programming and troubleshooting abilities.
  • PLC programming experience in Allen Bradley and/or Siemens PLCs.
  • Experience with Factory Talk Studio or Wonderware.
  • Experience with industrial robots is an asset.
  • Experience with servo and VFD system design and programming is preferred.
  • P Eng. designation is an asset.
  • Strong written and communication skills.
  • Good knowledge of North American electrical standards for equipment manufacturing.
