About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Reporting Analyst to join our growing team at Intact Financial Corporation.

As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for managing internal reporting, preparing underwriting results and expense forecasts, analyzing underwriting results, and supporting various business units in tracking their workflow.

Your expertise will also be utilized to participate in initiatives to improve financial systems and accounting processes, as well as contribute to the budget process for underwriting results and operating expenses.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and reviewing financial reports and statements;
  • Developing and implementing financial models and forecasting tools;
  • Analyzing financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement;
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement financial strategies;
  • Providing financial guidance and support to business units.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A professional accounting designation (CPA) or equivalent combination of training and experience;
  • At least three to five years of relevant experience in accounting, IFRS accounting standards, and finance;
  • Knowledge of the insurance industry;
  • Fast learning, agility, and adaptability to change;
  • Discipline, autonomy, and professionalism;
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to interact with people at all levels of the organization, including management and external stakeholders.
