Job Summary: Cyber Security Intern

Oeson Learning is seeking enthusiastic individuals who are looking to learn with us in the field of Cyber Security while working on live projects internationally.

We are not just offering a flexible work environment but also offering to work with people in a global team.

Responsibilities:

  1. Build a safe and secure system and gain knowledge of the principles of vulnerability assessment and reconnaissance to protect your infrastructure and web presence.
  2. Utilize practical exploits and assess how they affect your systems.
  3. Evaluate the risk assessment and perform threat modeling of a web application architecture.
  4. Create a successful vulnerability management strategy.
  5. Learn how to use online open-source intelligence applications for passive reconnaissance.
  6. Execute foot printing and reconnaissance, a crucial pre-attack part of the ethical hacking process using the most recent methods and technologies.
  7. Master multiple scanning techniques using NMAP and NPING and conduct scanning on the target network outside of IDS and firewall.
  8. Understand the workings of web applications and web servers, their vulnerabilities, and how to prevent attacks

  • Currently pursuing any degree showcasing a strong commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, vital for effective collaboration and articulation of complex ideas.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a cohesive team, highlighting adaptability and strong teamwork capabilities.
Location and Salary

This position is part of our unpaid internship program. The location for this internship is remote in Nova Scotia, Canada.

The estimated salary range for this internship is $15/hour, based on the national average hourly wage in Nova Scotia. Please note that this is an estimate and may vary depending on individual circumstances.
