We are seeking a highly skilled Physiotherapist to join our Rehabilitation Services team at Nova Scotia Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients in a tertiary care setting.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough medical histories and perform standardized tests to determine physical diagnoses.
- Develop holistic treatment programs using various techniques, including exercises, education, and manual therapy.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on health promotion, physiotherapy treatment, and patient management.
- Supervise physiotherapy students and assistants, ensuring high-quality care and support.
- Bachelor's degree or entry-level master's program in Physiotherapy from an accredited university.
- Membership with the Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapists (provincial licensing body).
- Computer skills, including statistics input, word processing, and Outlook.
- Annual Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation certification (BCLS) and WHMIS training and certification.
- Additional courses or training in specialized areas, such as cardio-respiratory techniques or stroke rehabilitation.
