Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive quantity take-offs for labor, materials, and equipment required for project completion.
  • Precisely review the scope of work before issuing to subcontractors and conduct gap/overlap analysis.
  • Direct suppliers and subcontractors on scope and requirements based on RFP specifications.
  • Solicit competitive pricing from subcontractors and suppliers while ensuring safety and quality standards.
  • Review subcontractor pricing, inclusions, exclusions, or qualifications for price evaluation and selection.
  • Mitigate execution risks through a thorough understanding of tender documentation and project plans.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and the project delivery team in preparing bid pricing, proposal documents, schedules, and execution plans.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in estimating jobs in the industrial field, preferably with an Engineering Technologist Diploma or equivalent technical training.
  • Proficiency in reviewing construction drawings and general construction knowledge.
  • Competency in key software and productivity tools such as MS Office (particularly Excel), Bluebeam Revu, Microsoft Project, and/or Primavera P6.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet critical deadlines.
  • Valid driver's license (class G) and strong verbal and written English communication skills.
Compensation Package

The estimated annual salary for this position is $85,000 - $110,000 CAD, depending on experience. Benefits include a comprehensive health insurance plan, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
