We are seeking a highly skilled Engineering Design and Drafting Specialist to join our team at Paterson & Cooke Canada Inc.

About the Role

This is a senior-level position that requires extensive experience in engineering design and drafting. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed engineering designs and drawings, supervising junior drafters, and training new personnel.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manual drafting, AutoCAD, MS Office, and spreadsheet software. Additionally, they will have experience with quality assurance or control, 3D modeling, and civil engineering.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed engineering designs and drawings
  • Supervise and train junior drafters
  • Consult with clients, engineers, and production specialists to establish product requirements
  • Estimate costs and materials
  • Examine drawings for conformity and errors
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering design and drafting
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to distinguish between colors
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive health benefits package, including a healthcare plan, registered retirement savings plan (RRSP), and deferred profit-sharing plan (DPSP).
