Job Title: Environmental Ecologist

Gannett Fleming is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Environmental Ecologist to join our team in Toronto, Ontario.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct natural heritage studies and background data reviews to support transportation, transit, and municipal infrastructure projects.
  • Collect and analyze environmental data, including species at risk information, to inform project decisions.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to execute projects and meet client expectations.
  • Develop and implement environmental impact assessments and mitigation measures.
  • Prepare and contribute to technical reports, including writing and analyzing ecological datasets.
  • Apply knowledge of applicable legislation and regulations to ensure compliance.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Ecology, Biological Sciences, Environmental Sciences, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in environmental consulting, with a focus on ecological assessments and impact mitigation.
  • Strong understanding of transportation, transit, and municipal infrastructure construction projects.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and file sharing systems.
