About the Role
Dillon Consulting is seeking a seasoned Land Development Planner to join our team. As a key member of our planning group, you will be responsible for managing land development planning projects and coordinating with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
Responsibilities
- Manage land development planning projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams, providing exceptional communication and project management skills.
- Collaborate with public agencies and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution and compliance with regulations.
- Contribute to business development and growth initiatives, identifying opportunities for expansion and client engagement.
- Participate in professional associations and committees to enhance Dillon's corporate profile and stay up-to-date with industry trends.
- Travel to various locations for project execution, client meetings, and business development activities.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in planning, geography, or a related field.
- Full membership in the Canadian Institute of Planners (CIP) and the Ontario Professional Planners Institute (OPPI) or ability to attain within three years.
- Minimum of five years of project management experience in the consulting industry.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of land use planning, sustainable community design, urban redevelopment, and planning policy.
- Proven experience in land development planning projects and ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication, report writing, organization, and interpersonal skills.
