Appliance Service Technician

We are seeking a skilled Appliance Service Technician to join our team at Global Scales and Systems Inc.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough electrical tests using specialized equipment to diagnose faults and ensure safe repair procedures.
- Prepare detailed estimates of repair costs, taking into account the type of appliance, extent of damage, and required parts.
- Plan and optimize service routes to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime for our customers.
- Consult technical documentation, such as schematic drawings and product manuals, to accurately diagnose and repair complex issues.
- Diagnose and repair electrical appliances and components, using a range of testing devices and tools.
- Communicate effectively with customers, providing clear explanations of work performed and the condition of their equipment.
- Operate and maintain shop equipment, as well as specialized diagnostic and programming apparatus, to ensure high-quality repairs and efficient workflow.
- This role requires a physically demanding work environment, with frequent lifting, bending, and standing.
- Our team operates in a fast-paced environment, with a high volume of service requests and tight deadlines.
- We are looking for a candidate with a strong client focus, who can provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders.
- Initiative and a proactive approach to problem-solving are essential in this role, as is the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail are critical in managing multiple service requests and ensuring timely completion of tasks.
- We value a team player who can work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve shared goals and objectives.
- This is a permanent, full-time position, with a regular working week of 30-40 hours.
- The primary language of communication is English, and proficiency in this language is essential for success in this role.
