Job Summary

Meteor Telecommunications Inc. is seeking a skilled Telecommunications Technician to join our team. As a key member of our installation and maintenance crew, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our telecommunications network.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and test cable signals and associated equipment to identify and resolve issues
  • Repair and maintain telecommunications equipment, including cable signals and network infrastructure
  • Diagnose and locate equipment faults, and adjust or replace telecommunications equipment as needed
  • Analyze test results and adjust or repair switching systems, networks, and associated equipment
  • Operate computerized testing systems to conduct service tests on customer lines and equipment
  • Climb and work aloft on poles, ladders, or other support structures to install and maintain telecommunications equipment
  • Connect, disconnect, and relocate cable outlets to ensure seamless service
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in telecommunications or a related field
  • Ability to work outdoors and in confined spaces
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with colleagues and customers
