About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our team at GHD. As a key member of our Engineering Design Organization (EDO), you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality geotechnical engineering services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage geotechnical engineering projects, including project planning, execution, and delivery.
  • Develop and implement geotechnical engineering solutions for various projects, including foundations, earthworks, and geotechnical investigations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, engineers, and technicians, to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and technicians, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and industry partners, ensuring excellent customer service and satisfaction.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and emerging technologies, applying this knowledge to improve project delivery and client outcomes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in geotechnical, geological, or civil engineering.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer in British Columbia.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, with a strong background in project management and leadership.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills, with proficiency in geotechnical software applications, including GeoStudio and PLAXIS.
  • Ability to travel to project sites and client locations, as required.
