Senior Staff Scientist

A challenging opportunity awaits a highly skilled Lead Polymer Synthesis Expert to join Aitopics' research team. As a Senior Staff Scientist, you will play a key role in advancing the field of AI-driven autonomous discovery and developing materials and molecules required to address society's largest challenges.

We are seeking an exceptional individual with over 10 years of experience in accelerated research and development in the area of polymer synthesis. Your expertise in AI and automation will enable you to develop customized hardware and Python software packages to build self-driving laboratories.

As a Senior Staff Scientist, your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing plans that support research collaborations and estimating financial resources required for programs and/or projects.
  • Managing laboratory budgets and procuring equipment.
  • Scheduling and coordinating lab access.
  • Supervising the work of Staff Scientists, Software Engineers, Research Associates, and Post-doctoral Fellows.

The ideal candidate will have a strong scholarly publication record and excellent communication skills in oral and written English. You will be responsible for managing research staff, presenting research at academic conferences, and collaborating with industry partners on industry-led research and development projects.
