Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and physically demanding Fish Processing Labourer to join our team at Cape Bald Packers Ltd. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting fish and shellfish to work areas, weighing and recording weights, and packing fish in ice.

About the Job
  • This is a seasonal position with varying hours of 30-60 hours per week.
  • You will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic team environment and contribute to the efficient processing of fish products.
  • The ideal candidate will possess strong physical capabilities, attention to detail, and excellent teamwork skills.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Transport fish and shellfish to work areas in a safe and efficient manner.
  2. Weigh and record the weight of fish or shellfish using scales and recording equipment.
  3. Pack fish in ice and store them in designated areas.
  4. Perform general housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

The successful candidate will be required to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and work in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements
  • Candidates must be willing to undergo training and develop their skills in fish processing.
  • Reliability and strong teamwork skills are essential for success in this role.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position is $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience. Additional benefits include a bonus structure and piece work opportunities.
