We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Automation Engineer to join our team at Linamar Corporation. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automation solutions to improve plant efficiency and productivity.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement automation solutions to improve plant efficiency and productivity.
- Design, develop, and test automation systems, including PLC, PMC, and robot programs.
- Supervise and inspect the installation, modification, and commissioning of automation systems.
- Analyze and troubleshoot automation system issues and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate automation systems with other plant systems.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and standards for automation systems.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in automation technology.
- Bachelor of Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering degree.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in PLC and robotic system design, repair, and programming.
- Minimum 5 years of experience integrating new automation systems.
- Trade license in Industrial Electrical Maintenance (442A) or equivalent.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
