Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Automation Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automation systems, as well as troubleshooting and repairing complex equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement automation systems, including programming and testing of PLCs and other control systems
  • Troubleshoot and repair complex equipment, including robots, CNC machines, and other automated systems
  • Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to improve manufacturing processes and reduce downtime
  • Develop and maintain documentation for automation systems and equipment
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in automation technology
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in automation and controls, with a focus on PLC programming and troubleshooting
  • Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, including robotics and CNC machines
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and documentation skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations, including CSA and OSHA
