We are seeking a highly skilled Plastic Moulding Supervisor to join our team at Ontario Ltd.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the production team in the injection moulding process, ensuring high-quality products and meeting productivity targets.
Key Responsibilities:- Troubleshoot and perform minor adjustments to equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Prepare and weigh resins, colorants, and other chemicals according to formulae
- Monitor and inspect the quality of material produced, maintaining strict quality control standards
- Operate mixing machines to blend plastic and other chemicals to specific consistency and viscosity
- Set up and operate one or more moulding machines to mould plastic products, adhering to formulation cards
- Organize and maintain inventory levels, minimizing waste and maximizing efficiency
- Utilize computer numerical control (CNC) machines to streamline processes
- Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
- Proven track record in a supervisory role, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Strong technical knowledge of injection moulding processes and machinery
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Manual dexterity and ability to lift heavy loads
- Physically demanding role, requiring standing for extended periods and handling heavy equipment
- Competitive salary: $70,000 - $90,000 per annum, depending on experience
