Birla Carbon Canada is currently looking for a contract Electronic Work Permit Coordinator to join our team in Hamilton, ON. This contract role would be responsible for working with our energy control procedures at the Hamilton plant.

**What We Do**:

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Converting energy control procedures into isolation templates to be put into our electronic work permit system.
- Reviewing the energy control procedures and coordinating with department supervisors on the contents of the ECP and isolation templates
- Ability to work in a chemical manufacturing environment, outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Perform all duties required safely and efficiently adhering to the required safety, housekeeping and environmental standards
- Perform all other duties as assigned

**Requirements**:

- Post Secondary Education in Health, Safety and Environmental or similar
- Mechanical aptitude or knowledge is considered an asset
- Experience with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word and Excel
- Ability to work outdoors
- Ability to work in a team environment and have excellent communication skills

**Contract Duration**:6 months with the possibility of extension

**Hours of Work**: Monday to Friday - days
