**About the Role**

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist II to join our dynamic team in Beaverlodge, Alberta. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a crucial role in coordinating occupational therapy and other allied health clinical services within our program or service area.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide supervision of students and team members as assigned
  • Work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team to provide leadership to other healthcare professionals
  • Make day-to-day clinical decisions on patient/family needs regarding assessment, intervention, discharge and follow-up
  • Advise team members on complex clinical cases and provide clinical leadership within the program or service area
  • Ensure occupational therapy practice is evidence-based and in alignment with Alberta legislation and regulations, professional standards of practice, code of ethics and AHS policy and guidelines

About the Team**

You will be working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a multi-disciplinary team including two occupational therapists, 2 trained assistants, 2 physiotherapists, speech language pathology and social work. Our team supports acute care, home care, long term care, community, and one DSL site in both Beaverlodge and Hythe.

About You**

To be successful in this role, you will require a Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university program or bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university program and related experience. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT) is also required.

What We Offer**

This is an extremely rewarding placement that allows for the therapist to develop their services based on the community needs. You will have a high level of independence and case management but mentoring and support is always available. We offer a competitive rate of pay, $75,000 - $100,000 per year, depending on experience, and a Remote Retention Allowance to an annual maximum of $3,000.
