Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive rate of pay and a Northern Allowance of up to $6,300 per year. Additionally, eligible employees can receive an annual reimbursement of personal travel expenses up to $1,235. The estimated annual salary for this position is between $85,000 and $110,000 depending on experience.

Job Description

In this leadership role, you will oversee the Recreation Therapy program at Mackenzie House and provide clinical leadership to ensure safe and efficient care. You will work closely with the health care team to assess, treat, educate, and manage client treatment progress. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Providing clinical leadership to ensure evidence-based practice
  • Coordinating program development and implementation
  • Collaborating with the healthcare team to deliver high-quality care

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need a bachelor's degree in Recreation Therapy, Therapeutic Recreation, or Recreation and Leisure Studies, as well as active registration with the Alberta Therapeutic Recreation Association (ATRA). A minimum of three years' related clinical experience as a Recreation Therapist is also required.
