As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing multiple projects to completion, overseeing engineering and design, and working with the procurement department to deliver goods and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple projects to completion, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
- Oversee engineering and design activities, ensuring compliance with site standards, specifications, codes, and regulations.
- Collaborate with the procurement department to bid, evaluate, and deliver goods, materials, and services.
- Provide technical support to the Mill Operations and Maintenance Departments.
- Assist in the technical direction and training of engineering and operations personnel.
- Monitor the work of service providers to ensure compliance with regulations and safe work practices.
- Supervise construction activities and lead quality assurance, quality control, commissioning, and turnover activities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Several years of experience in a heavy industrial environment, with a focus on project management.
- PMP designation is considered an asset.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Experience with scheduling tools and software.
- Supervisory experience and positive safety behavior.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and meet project deadlines.
- Active listening and communication skills for effective collaboration and reporting.
