In the role of Treasury Senior Analyst, you will report directly to the Treasury Manager and play a vital role in overseeing the consolidated treasury functions for the Atco Group of Companies. Your responsibilities will encompass managing overall liquidity operations, including daily cash management, surplus cash investments, and collaborating with subsidiaries to develop corporate cash forecasts. You will also prepare compliance documentation for credit facilities and trust indentures, assist with NCIB and DRIP programs, and generate various departmental reports for treasury, accounting, and subsidiary use. Additionally, you will provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Update and analyze daily cash flow data using treasury management software.
  • Complete all necessary cash management documentation for both new and existing departmental processes.
  • Prepare consolidated cash forecasts for both short-term and long-term needs of the Atco Group and analyze any variances.
  • Evaluate monthly cash forecasts on a consolidated basis.
  • Execute both short and long-term investments with financial institutions.
  • Manage existing external financing arrangements, including dividend and debenture payments.
  • Support the issuance of letters of credit and manage funds flow for financing, M&A transactions, and related intercompany documentation.
  • Address treasury operation inquiries from subsidiaries, corporate accounting, and various external stakeholders.
  • Assist in the execution and management of dividend reinvestment programs.
  • Collaborate closely with senior management, financial institutions, legal counsel, trustees, and external auditors to ensure all financing requirements are fulfilled.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in Commerce or Business with a specialization in Finance or Accounting.
  • A Finance or Accounting designation or currently pursuing one, such as Certified Treasury Professional (CTP), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), or Certified Professional Accountant (CPA).
  • 5-10 years of extensive treasury management experience, preferably in operating a centralized cash management system and overseeing company-wide short-term liquidity positions.
  • Experience working with publicly traded companies.
  • Strong knowledge of cash management, treasury operations, and accounting principles.
  • Excellent analytical skills and proficiency in Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Capability to build effective relationships within the organization and externally; a true team player.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Treasury Management Systems (Kyriba), Online Banking, and Bloomberg.
