Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Highway Host Curry House. As a key member of our restaurant operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our food service operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of a team of food service staff, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
    • Train and develop staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Operations Management
    • Establish and implement effective methods to meet work schedules, ensuring that food and service meet quality control standards.
    • Estimate and manage inventory of ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation, minimizing waste and optimizing profitability.
  • Customer Service
    • Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring that all issues are resolved promptly and to the customer's satisfaction.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, providing valuable insights for business decision-making.
    • Prepare and submit reports on a regular basis, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service supervisory role.
  • Work Environment
    • Fast-paced restaurant environment with tight deadlines and high pressure.
  • Physical Demands
    • Combination of sitting, standing, and walking, with frequent movement around the restaurant.
  • Personal Qualities
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, customers, and management.
    • Flexibility and adaptability, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and quality service.
