Job Title: Superintendent Mine Planning

We are seeking a highly experienced Mine Superintendent to join our team at StevenDouglas. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of Mine Supervisors and managing key operational functions within the mine.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement budgets and performance targets for the department.
  • Direct and coordinate the execution of projects and operational plans to meet safety, quality, and cost objectives.
  • Manage the selection of new equipment for the mine.
  • Continuously monitor key performance indicators to optimize efficiency, quality, and cost.
  • Complete performance management tools and evaluations for direct reports.
  • Promote teamwork, high performance, and environmental stewardship throughout the operation.
Requirements:
  • At least 10 years of experience in Open Pit Mining.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement budgets and performance targets.
  • Experience in managing key operational functions within a mine.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
