About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to join our Infrastructure division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the construction process, ensuring that projects are built according to approved plans, specifications, and building codes.
  • Develop and implement resource-loaded 3-week look-ahead schedules to meet project deadlines.
  • Manage and maintain site safety measures, ensuring compliance with corporate safety manuals and regulatory requirements.
  • Review and approve subtrade/supplier invoices, reporting discrepancies to the Project Manager or accounting department.
  • Hire and manage hourly employees, maintaining and submitting time cards for job costing purposes.
  • Prepare field change orders and work with coordinators/engineers to craft and submit RFIs as required.

Requirements:

  • 15+ years of construction supervision experience, with a background in municipal infrastructure work.
  • Previous experience as a GF, Superintendent, or similar direct supervisory role.
  • Combination of work experience and industry-related trade certification/education.
  • Solid understanding of modern construction practices, including roadworks, drainage, utility, deep pile foundations, structural concrete, and steel.
  • Ability to plan and manage to a project schedule, with a strong safety record and ability to work with various individuals.
  • Capacity to understand and interpret stakeholder needs, identify solutions to non-routine tasks or queries, and adapt information and communication style to the audience.
