Research Director, Enterprise Software Sourcing Strategies

IDC is seeking a Research Director, Enterprise Software Sourcing Strategies to join our team. This role will focus on developing research content and recommendations to help technology and procurement executives source, negotiate, and close the optimal deal with software vendors.
Responsibilities- Develop action-oriented research for technology executives on sourcing strategies, negotiation best practices, and optimizing the best deals.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest software trends and vendor strategies in the enterprise applications domain.
- Collaborate with the research, technology, and product teams to plan, develop, and execute the production of research content for our digital platform.
- Develop a detailed research agenda and schedule with clear milestones for the short, medium, and long term.
- 10+ years of experience in the technology industry as a sourcing professional, consultant, or industry analyst.
- Excellent writing, research, and investigational skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- An analytical mind with a strong desire to uncover trends and patterns through qualitative and quantitative research.
- Experience using Microsoft Excel to analyze survey data.
- Demonstrable track record and passion for driving change and doing things differently.
