Job Title: Construction Trades Helper

We are seeking a skilled Construction Trades Helper to join our team at ESSKAY HOMES INC. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for assisting in the construction process, ensuring the smooth operation of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites.
  • Clean and lubricate cranes and other heavy equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades as required.
  • Instruct apprentices in the safe operation of equipment and proper construction techniques.
  • Assemble tower cranes on site and assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites.
  • Operate bridge or overhead cranes to lift, move, and place plant machinery and materials.
  • Level earth to fine grade specifications and operate cranes mounted on boats or barges to lift, move, and place equipment and materials.
  • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites and tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) training.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
  • Physically demanding work requiring handling heavy loads.
  • Team player with accurate and hardworking attitude.
Work Environment:
  • Outdoors with exposure to dust and heights.
  • Work site environment with varying temperatures and weather conditions.
Language:

English.

Work Schedule:

35 hours per week.
