Technical Packaging Manager - 14-month contract

Job Overview

Nestle Canada is seeking a highly skilled Technical Packaging Manager to join our team. As a key member of the business operations team, you will be responsible for developing and executing the Innovation and Renovation (I&R) business strategies related to packaging.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement packaging solutions that meet consumer needs and business strategy.
  2. Manage technical projects and support factory(ies) and marketing on projects/initiatives related to packaging.
  3. Ensure technical delivery of medium to high complexity I&R projects from concept to post-launch evaluation.
  4. Organize and document factory trials, including machinability, shelf-life, storage handling, laboratory, and transport tests for validation of new packaging and changes in specifications.
  5. Support exploratory work into new business opportunities, assessing and communicating packaging technical feasibility.

Requirements

  1. Strong understanding of packaging sustainability, material selection, and validation meeting recyclability requirements.
  2. Proven ability to manage complex projects and diverse stakeholders.
  3. Multi-project management including cross-functional projects.
  4. Factory operation in filling and packing/packaging industry (converters, equipment).
  5. Factory experience (development or filling and packing operations).

  2. Ability to drive change management.
  3. Confidence and ability to escalate issues to appropriate functional levels, strong ability to challenge.
