**Job Summary**

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team. As an Electrical Estimator, you will play a critical role in preparing and submitting tender prices for various projects of all sizes and scope.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Perform quantity takeoffs and enter data into a computerized estimating system.
  • Assemble all elements of an estimate, including labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor pricing.
  • Prepare, review, and submit documents to ensure all bid requirements are met.
  • Gather information for labor breakdowns to assist with budget creation and management of projects.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize workload effectively.
  • Attend site visits, pre-bid meetings, and post-bid meetings as required.
  • Participate in estimating turnover meetings with project teams to assist with planning and budgeting.
  • Establish strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing.
  • Review project schematics to strategize on the best approach for submissions.

**Requirements**

  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience in electrical estimating, BAS controls wiring, and mechanical wiring.
  • Post-secondary diploma in electrical or construction technology, or other relevant technology field.
  • Experience in an electrical contracting trade or industry certification, such as Certified Quantity Surveyor or Certified Construction Estimator.
  • Working knowledge of Autobid and Trimble or equivalent estimating software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, time management, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Self-motivated with a strong willingness to learn and be challenged.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
