Senior Engineer Optical Hardware

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer to contribute to the development of cutting-edge optical communication systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research and evaluation of DWDM optical communication technologies to enhance system performance.
  • Characterize and address device impairments in high-speed coherent transceivers to ensure optimal system operation.
  • Collaborate with design teams to optimize the performance of coherent transceivers and systems.
  • Analyze and optimize end-to-end solutions for channel impairments to minimize signal degradation.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, or Physics.
  • Experience in simulation and modeling of OE components and optical fiber communications.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C/C++, Julia.
  • Hands-on experience in optical system testing and performance characterization.
  • Understanding of digital signal processing and information theory.
  • Previous industrial experience in optical communication systems is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Machine Learning is an advantage.
