About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Project Manager to join our team at Meridia Recruitment Solutions. As a key member of our construction team, you will play a critical role in the successful execution of various projects, from concept to completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning and Coordination: Prepare tenders, coordinate activities, and ensure efficient job site operations.
  • Estimating and Budgeting: Prepare estimates, take-off, and follow up on quotes and RFI's.
  • Project Monitoring and Control: Monitor project progress, attend site meetings, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Team Leadership: Lead preconstruction planning activities, collaborate with project teams, and promote on-site best practices.
  • Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, consultants, sub-trades, and suppliers.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience in a Project Manager/Senior Project Coordinator role, or equivalent, ideally working on ICI projects.
  • Post-secondary education in engineering or construction management.
  • Eligible for, or have attained E.I.T., P. Eng., CET, or PQS designations.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet the time demands of unpredictable activities.
  • Effective analytical, critical thinking, troubleshooting, problem-solving skills, coupled with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both in a verbal and written capacity.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, experience using MS Projects would be an asset.
  • Understanding of BIM/VDC would be considered an asset.
