Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Associate to join our growing team in the role of Associate, Valuations & Litigation Support. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about finance, accounting, and law, seeking a career in valuation and litigation support services.
Key Responsibilities- Support and manage various aspects of engagements, including business valuations, economic loss and damage quantification, forensic accounting, and litigation support.
- Prepare engagement proposals, assist in engagement planning and budgeting, and track information requests and record-keeping.
- Identify key issues and methodologies for assignments, review financial, legal, and corporate documents, and perform qualitative and quantitative analysis.
- Prepare schedules and buildout models for valuations and economic loss quantifications, conduct research, and review case law.
- Assist in the preparation of business valuation and expert reports, review and critique other professionals' reports, and communicate with the team on engagement status.
- Regular communication with counsel, clients, and their advisors throughout the course of an assignment, and prepare completion documents to close-out files efficiently.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related area of study.
- Completed or working towards achieving a professional designation in accounting and/or finance is considered a major asset.
- 1+ years of relevant work experience, such as financial statement and ratio analysis.
- Ability to set priorities, manage competing demands, and oversee the work of students and other junior practitioners.
- Solid investigative skills and attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to write clear and concise reports, communications, and other materials.
- Ability to think creatively and provide practical solutions to complex problems.
- Detail-oriented, highly organized with exceptional documentation and record-keeping abilities.
- Ability to work well both autonomously and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, open to feedback, and a desire to be a team player.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, self-motivated, and committed to professional growth.
- Demonstrates interest, enthusiasm, and ambition to grow as a leader in the firm.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
