The OpportunityWe are seeking a motivated and high-performing individual to join our growing team as a Manager of Valuations and Litigation Support. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about finance, accounting, and law.
The Manager will report directly to the Partners and be responsible for managing and leading the valuation and litigation practice of the firm. Key responsibilities include:
- Preparation and review of engagement proposals, and responsible for the engagement scope, framework, planning, and budgeting;
- Management of timelines, budgets, and workflow capacity planning;
- Preparation and oversight of information requests, and management of documents received;
- Lead team members in executing on and preparing client deliverables;
- Review financial, legal, and corporate documents;
- Preparation and review of schedules and buildout of models for valuations and economic loss quantifications;
- Conduct valuation-related research, including industry-specific information, macroeconomic data, precedent transactions, and public company valuation multiples;
- Review of case law for valuation and loss quantification precedence;
- Preparation, review, and execution of business valuation and expert reports;
- Review and critique other professionals' reports;
- Regular communication with the Partners and other professional staff regarding the overall file status and management;
- Communication with clients, and their counsel and advisors throughout the course of an assignment;
- Assistance with quality control review comprising of overviewing the preparation of completion documents;
- Participation in the development and delivery of training, process improvement, and professional development programs;
- Mentor, train, and assist in the development of professional staff;
- Proactively engage in new business and opportunities development promoting the firm's expertise and services.
Interested candidates should possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related area of study;
- A Chartered Business Valuator (CBV) professional designation (or substantial completion) with 4+ years of relevant business valuation/litigation support related experience;
- 2+ years of managerial experience is strongly preferred;
- Other accounting and/or finance professional designations (CPA and/or CFA) would be an asset;
- Strong track record of personal growth, client relations, and service in a fast-paced environment.

Location and Working ConditionsWe believe that it is beneficial for employees to attend the office in person to boost human connections and collaboration. Our office is located at 2558 Dougall Avenue, Windsor, Ontario N8X 1T6. On-site parking is available.
For candidates applying from outside of Essex County, Capital Assist supports flexible work arrangements on a case-by-case basis. The Manager may work additional hours throughout the year to assist the firm in meeting its objectives.
