Job Summary

Farm Boy is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Receiving Coordinator. This role is responsible for ensuring the smooth receipt and storage of incoming products, maintaining accurate inventory levels, and upholding the highest standards of quality and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and process incoming shipments, verifying accuracy and quality of products
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels, reporting discrepancies to management
  • Ensure all products are stored in a clean and organized manner, adhering to company standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve inventory and logistics issues
  • Perform general housekeeping duties, including sweeping, mopping, and equipment maintenance
  • Comply with all corporate policies, particularly those related to Health and Safety, Food Safety, and equipment use
  • Provide exceptional customer service to suppliers and drivers
  • Handle merchandise returns and perform other related duties as required

Requirements

  • Superior organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Typically requires up to 6 months of experience in a related position, preferably working with perishable goods
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, maintaining high standards for quality, attention to detail, and cleanliness
  • Effective communication skills, both written and oral
  • Ability to operate a lift truck and knowledge of receiving and cooler facilities and equipment
  • Fluency in both official languages is an asset

Work Environment

  • Unavoidable exposure to noise, dirt, dust, vibration, and extreme temperatures
  • Prolonged exposure to cool, damp working conditions
  • Providing service to multiple departments, working under simultaneous deadlines
  • May be required to wear protective clothing or equipment
  • Required to lift, carry, or handle heavy objects weighing up to 80 pounds
  • Must be capable of climbing, reaching, lifting, twisting, and bending for prolonged periods
  • Required to adapt to temperature changes
