Sales Manager for Agricultural Territory

Job Summary:
As a Territory Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing sales activities in the Yorkton/Dauphin area, focusing on external customers in Manitoba. You will apply strategic sales tactics to achieve budgeted sales and profit objectives in line with company objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage territory customer accounts, establishing regular contact with customers and key influencers to obtain product performance feedback. Develop and implement product/distributor/dealer support programs for the territory.
- Develop annual and semiannual forecasts, retaining and communicating significant customer interactions/information, and maintain an annual business plan for the territory. Monitor product flow and forecasts, investigate and resolve complaints.
- Assist in identifying strategies and tactics to accomplish sales and profit objectives.
- Responsible for monitoring and adhering to company guidelines for producing individual sales targets, expenses, promotion, travel, and entertainment budgets.
- Create and deliver internal and external sales presentations; prepare presentation materials, including handouts and graphics. Work closely with immediate supervisor or product management to identify suitable marketing/promotional programs, obtaining buy-in and approval on territory business plans.
Requirements:
- College degree required with a preferred focus in Agro-Science or Business, along with a minimum of 5 years of sales experience with territory responsibilities. Working history in the agricultural chemical or related agriculture industry is preferred, with knowledge of biological products being a plus. Must live within the territory, which includes the Yorkton/Dauphin areas in Manitoba.
- Previous experience working with distributors, retailers, agricultural consultants, and key growers to accomplish territory objectives is a plus. Valid Driver's License is required.
