Territory Sales Manager Opportunity

Job Summary:

As a Territory Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing sales activities in the Yorkton/Dauphin area, focusing on external customers in Manitoba. You will apply strategic sales tactics to achieve budgeted sales and profit objectives in line with company objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage territory customer accounts, establishing regular contact with customers and key influencers to obtain product performance feedback. Develop and implement product/distributor/dealer support programs for the territory.
  2. Develop annual and semiannual forecasts, retaining and communicating significant customer interactions/information, and maintain an annual business plan for the territory. Monitor product flow and forecasts, investigate and resolve complaints.
  3. Assist in identifying strategies and tactics to accomplish sales and profit objectives.
  4. Responsible for monitoring and adhering to company guidelines for producing individual sales targets, expenses, promotion, travel, and entertainment budgets.
  5. Create and deliver internal and external sales presentations; prepare presentation materials, including handouts and graphics. Work closely with immediate supervisor or product management to identify suitable marketing/promotional programs, obtaining buy-in and approval on territory business plans.

Requirements:

  • College degree required with a preferred focus in Agro-Science or Business, along with a minimum of 5 years of sales experience with territory responsibilities. Working history in the agricultural chemical or related agriculture industry is preferred, with knowledge of biological products being a plus. Must live within the territory, which includes the Yorkton/Dauphin areas in Manitoba.
  • Previous experience working with distributors, retailers, agricultural consultants, and key growers to accomplish territory objectives is a plus. Valid Driver's License is required.

Travel: 50-75% of the time, with limited overnight stays.
