Job Description

At DB Schenker, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Lead to join our logistics operations team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the effective operation of all assigned shift warehouse activities, including picking, shipping, and receiving.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Leadership and Communication: Communicate and implement change as directed, ensuring a smooth transition of tasks and responsibilities.
  2. Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.
  3. Team Management: Provide leadership by establishing clear expectations and demonstrating high standards of work practices and safety-conscious behavior, supervising all staff under your direct or indirect control.
  4. Customer Service: Establish, maintain, and promote high standards of customer service, ensuring excellent relationships with customers, shunt drivers, warehouse guards, supervisors, and warehouse personnel.
  5. Operational Efficiency: Ensure all resources are utilized efficiently, continuously monitoring the performance and activities of the shift operations through the use of KPI's, with a primary focus on cost controls.
Requirements
  1. Experience: Experience in a 3PL company preferred, with a strong understanding of overall warehousing processes.
  2. Skills: Strong planning and organization skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a high degree of initiative, and the ability to work in a team environment.
  3. Technical Skills: Strong computer skills, Excel – intermediate level, and a thorough understanding of client warehouse systems.
