We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Officer to join our team at Walmart Canada. As a Compliance Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our stores and facilities comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver Compliance and Safety Awareness: Collaborate with Store Management, Market Management, and Subject Matter Experts to educate associates and managers on compliance programs, including monitoring compliance controls, identifying root causes, and driving corrective actions.
- Drive Compliance Improvement: Conduct assessments in facilities across designated compliance subject matter areas, such as Health & Safety/Fire Code, Environmental, Consumer Protection, Anti-Money Laundering, Food Safety/Pest Control, Privacy & Employment, Licenses & Permits, and Anti-Corruption.
- Deliver On-the-Spot Compliance Training: Provide compliance training at all levels within the facility, including delivering the Compliance portion of new associate orientation.
- Analyze Data and Identify Gaps: Analyze data to identify program execution gaps and trends, identify root causes, and support the creation and execution of action plans to mitigate risk and drive compliance execution.
- Participate in Regulatory Visits: Participate in regulatory visits, including online submission and engaging partners for resolution of orders or fines.
- Manage Accident Files: Execute and manage the hourly associate accident file process, including online submission, accident investigations, modified offer letters, and follow-up until resolution.
- Foster Communication: Foster 2-way communication with Store Management to ensure attendance management, progress note completion, and accountability occur as required.
- Support Customer Claims: Assist with collection and verification of required items/documents for customer claim folders.
- Facilities Maintenance: Submit and follow up on Facilities Maintenance requests, including management of pest activity.
