Craftsman Collision is seeking a skilled Repair Planner to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective repair of vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to ensure stakeholder objectives are met in a safe, effective, and positive manner.
  • Shop Management: Support the management of the shop in alignment with our company's values and standards.
  • Production and Quality Control: Support daily production, workflow, and quality control of the shop, ensuring that all repairs are completed to the highest standards.
  • Task Prioritization: Utilize our company dashboard to accurately identify and prioritize tasks, ensuring that all deadlines are met.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Actively participate in daily production meetings, utilizing expert understanding and application of all insurance-specific policies and procedures.
  • Parts Management: Identify and order parts from our management system after completing repair plans.
  • Customer Service: Assist with educating customers about claims and repair processes, providing exceptional customer service at vehicle drop-off and pick-up.
  • Vehicle Recall and History: Maintain awareness of production deadlines and updates customers as required, checking for vehicle recalls while building repair plans and reviewing vehicle history in our management system.
  • Efficiency and Productivity: Proactively take steps to reduce effort and increase touch time, leveraging all systems and resources to minimize vehicle days in the shop.
  • Compliance and Regulatory Standards: Work with our operations team to ensure that all operations are compliant with provincial and national regulatory standards pertaining to health and safety, quality, and employment standards.
Requirements
  • Industry Experience: Minimum of years of progressive industry experience, including experience in sales, customer service, or leadership.
  • Education: Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field preferred; a combination of education and relevant experience will also be considered.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Mitchell Estimating, Audatex, ALLDATA, and experience using our management system or similar platform.
  • Soft Skills: Strong verbal, written, and listening skills, combined with the ability to interact and gain the support of senior leadership and other decision-makers.
  • Personal Qualities: Demonstrated time management, problem-solving, critical thinking, and sound judgment skills, with a strong interpersonal skills and customer service-oriented attitude.
